S. Epatha Merkerson and Megan Hilty

Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise will once again host the annual National Memorial Day Concert, broadcast live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol May 28 at 8 PM ET; check local listings.

The evening will feature a mix of performers from stage and screen, including Trace Adkins, S. Epatha Merkerson, Megan Hilty, John Slattery, Dulé Hill, Yolanda Adams, Trace Adkins, Jo Dee Messina, Mary McCormack, The War and Treaty, Chosen Jacobs, and Phillip Phillips. 

Jack Everly will conduct the National Symphony Orchestra. 

The program will also include a tribute to Vietnam War POWs and Gold Star families, as well as a commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice and a remembrance of World War II.

“We are proud to continue this national tradition on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol that brings us together as one family of Americans to support our heroes and remember the more than one million Americans who have given their lives for our country since the dawn of the republic,” says Capital Concerts Executive Producer Michael Colbert.

The concert, which will remain available for two weeks following the live broadcast, can also be streamed live on the American Forces Network website, YouTube, the PBS app, and PBS.org.
