Scope

Spiegelworld is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our team in Las Vegas. The Production Manager will be a key member of the team responsible for management and maintenance of the show and surrounding facilities. This position coordinates between all internal and external departments with the end-goal of providing personnel support, resolving both anticipated and unanticipated issues that may arise during night-to-night operations. The ideal candidate should be comfortable being a hands-on and active manager - with both guests and the team. This position reports to the Theatrical General Manager and Head of Production Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Hands on oversight of venue facilities with bars including multiple performance spaces and a 250-seat theater.
  • Oversight of regular inspections of venue equipment and arranging for preventive maintenance as necessary.
  • Hiring, evaluating, motivating, and coaching all crew members to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
  • Create and distribute a weekly crew schedule, based on the weekly rehearsal, and show schedules provided by stage management.
  • Ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, setting the standard for excellence in the venue.
  • Monitor crew training to ensure that skills and certifications are current and valid.
  • Work with crew leads to compile regular maintenance tasks, and schedule maintenance calls.
  • Schedule applicable safety training and renewals for the house crew.
  • Maintain/ Update and distribute weekly and biweekly inspections.
  • Budgeting and purchasing show related supplies and consumables.
  • Work with the artistic team to coordinate materials for new artist arrival and put-ins.
  • Always maintain a safe working environment by conforming to all established safety policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for opening and closing the venue as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Must have 5 years of experience in managing in a theatrical environment.
  • Must have OSHA 30 certification or completed in 90 days upon start of employment.
  • Rigging experience a plus.
  • IATSE crew management experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform aerial equipment inspections.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English in written and verbal forms.
  • Basic knowledge computer software to include Google Docs, Sheets and Meets, MS Word, Excel, and Docs as well as office equipment, i.e. laminator, P-touch labeler and copier.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an always changing, never dull, creative environment.
  • Exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude.
  • Able to work in a nightlife atmosphere with loud music and flashing lights.
  • Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively delegate projects.
  • Ability to exhibit extreme patience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have valid work authorization for the US.

  • Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
